Richard Crane (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0186415) veteran serial player, heads up this "D" list cast for fun and frolic in outer space. Sally Mansfield is quite young, stunning in her "cross your heart bra" space outfit and amazingly liberated for the era, frequently asserting that girls *do* belong in rocket ships.
If you are familiar with the famous ending from "North by Northwest" you might enjoy the last few moments of part one. Rocky argues that women don't belong in space but Winky replies "she's going to come in mighty handy…" just as we cut to an exterior shot of the Orbit Jet fully inserting itself into the space station "landing tube." Hmmm… might handy indeed…

Man, this is a really good kids show! Very classy and cute!! Slightly Silly but utterly wonderful! Way better than "Captain Video"!

Thanks for the Rocky Jones, I love this series and it's nice to see the individual episodes instead of the movie compilations. I feel it was the best of the space adventure shows on tv in it's era beating out Flash Gordon and the rest. The side characters were well fleshed out and not just there to be rescued by Rocky every week. The costuming, sets and effects were fairly well done considering it's tv origins. The villains were always great, my favorite being Cleolanta. I would have given five stars except for the video resolution was a little lacking.
